A long inventory of Edmunde Morte of Mounton dated 18 Jun 1646 by Thomas Tyldesley, James ?, and Robert Tounge list the value of horses, sheep, hay, in the barn, and in the house, lower parlour, parlour, chamber, kitchen total value £216 16s 02d A note added to he bottom of he inventory mentions Elizabeth Mort vid

"In the name of God Amen the 23 Apr 1646 I Edmund Mort of Mountan, in the parish of Eccles, county of Lanc, yeoman make this my last will and testament in manner following, my body to be buried in the churchyard at Eccles, one half unto Elizabeth my wife, and the other to Elis Younge?, five pounds to Ralph Mossley, two pounds unto Margrett Edge daughter of Richard Edge of Eccles two pounds to John Morte of Eccles dated 3 Jun 1641, Thomas Wylde shall pay unto my executors twentie pounds within twelve months ater my demise and ten pounds remainder of the afforsaid within ten months after the first payment, all my goods unto Elizabeth my wife, make Elizabeth my wife and Richard Edge my true and lawfull executors…Thomas Barlow of Little Boulton… signed by me Edmund Mort, witnesed by Elis Tonge his mark".
