I John Mort of Astley in the parish of Leigh, weaver my will and mind is that my wife Ann Mort shall have the profits and benefits of my land called Moss Place, together with my goods, chattels and farming stock, but if she marry again to be cut of with one shilling. After her decease or marriage that my lands, goods, chattels, property and effects to be sold and shared amongst my children, that is Samuel Mort, Gilbert Mort, John Mort and Betty, now the wife of Abraham Throp and Hannah Mort and Ellen Mort and Alice Mort. Set my hand and seal this fifteenth day of April eighteen hundred and seven.
Notes added to the Will state on Monday the 8th march 1813 Ann Mort the executrix and Gilbert Mort and William Calland the executors sworn in common form the personal estate and effects under £60
