This is the last will and testament of me Henry Mort of Tyldesley with Shakerley, in the Parish of Leigh, yeoman. I give and bequeath to my eldest son John Mort all that leasehold messuage or dwelling house situate lying and being at Tildsley Banks in the parish yeilding and paying unto my Executors herein after mentioned the sum of forty six pounds thirteen shillings and sixpence of lawful money of Great Britain. Also I give and bequeath unto my eldest daughters husband John Radcliffe my son in law, my daughter being deceased do give and bequeath all that leasehold messuage or dwelling unto the said John Radcliffe situate lying at Tildesley Banks and fronting a certain street called Elliott St and now in the occupation of the said John Radcliffe yielding and paying unto my executor the sum of Twenty six pounds five shillings and tenpence of lawful money of Great Britain. Also I devise and bequeath to my second daughter Ann Mort the wife of William Mort all that leasehold messuage or dwelling house situate lying and being at Tildesley Banks and fronting the aforesaid Elliott St and now in the occupation of the said William Mort my son in law yielding and paying into my Executors the sum of five pounds of lawful money of Great Britain. Also I give devise and bequeath to my third daughter Chatharine Cleeworth the wife of Ralph Cleeworth my son in law all that leasehold messuage or dwelling house situate lying and being at Tildsley Banks and fronting a certain street called Well St and now in the occupation of Richard Smith yielding and paying into my Executors the sum of twenty five pounds of lawful money of Great Britain. Also I give devise and bequeath unto William Mort my son in law a pew at Astley Chapel for security of seven pounds and him to hold the same till the aforesaid be paid to him by John Radcliffe, John Mort, Ralph Cleworth and Richard Marsh and the same to be paid in one month after my decease or else be sold for the charge of seven pounds. Also I devise and bequeath unto my fourth daughter Jane Marsh the wife of Richard Marsh my son in law all that messuage or dwelling house situate lying and being at Tildesley Banks and fronting a certain street called elliott St and now in the occupation of John Smith and Yielding and paying into me Executors the sum of Three pound of lawful money of Great Britain.

Notes added to the will state Effects under 300£. The thirtieth day of August 1794. John Mort, William Mort, Richard Marsh the executors within named were sworn in common form. Proved Sep 15, 1794
