"In the name of God Amen, the tenth day of April in ye seventh year of King William the third and in the year of our Lord according to the computacon of the Church of England 1695 I margery Mort of Wigan in the county of Lancaster, widdow being sick in body but of perfect memory praised be God for ye same do make this my last will and testament in manner following. Firstly I comitt my soul unto the Lord my body to ye earth to be decently buried and interred in the Parish Church of Wigan at ye descresion of my executors hereafter named, and whereas my late husband did by his last will devise unto me one third part of his then personnall estate I do hereby give and bequeath ye same to my two children Margaret and Richard Mort and doe hereby revoke all other wills and doe nominate or appoint Adam Bancks senior of Wigan, Pewterer exec". Margery Mort her mark.
